Flowers are prolific this week – a volcano of color and scent erupting forth from the farm!
Marigolds are at their peak abundance this week – right in time for those celebrating Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights, happening now! Dia De Los Muertos, widely observed in Mexico and Mexican communities (whose celebrations include marigolds), is next weekend – get your marigolds now! This is the peak week.
Our warm weather flowers, zinnias, cosmos, celosia, are still abundant – but are beginning to make way for the cooler temperature flowers – sweet-smelling snapdragons! All of these varieties are available in plenty this weekend at the market.
