Our harvest season is now over!
Thanks to all of our farmers market friends for visiting us at the market for the last 8 months! It’s been an abundant season and for that we are GRATEFUL!
As our summer off-season begins, we’re working on projects and then will be deep in planning for the next season. Soon, we’ll sow summer cover-crops to hold the soil structure in place and add fertility to the fields for the next season.
We’re putting the finishing touches on a big gutter, roof runoff diversion, and wash-station plumbing project. Pictured below. This is an effort to conserve water and prevent erosion around our barn. We’ve never worked with such large pipe – 8 inch diameter, 560 ft of it, buried 3 to 4 feet underground.
We’ll keep you updated throughout the summer, especially when we get closer to the season starting!
More soon,
Ellen and Cole
