Final month of the season ❤️

Hey friends, today is the first day of May, Friday morning. We’re harvesting, of course, and tomorrow we will be at the market… bright and early, with cucumbers still in proliferation, and flowers exploding with color and fragrance everywhere you turn (member’s get a deal on flowers tomorrow, see below).

We’re kicking off the final month of the season abundantly.

New this week: Malabar Spinach – we grow this green only in the warmest times of the year, when it thrives. It is not a true spinach but shares a similar look and flavor. Use it fresh in salads with a delicious dressing, in smoothies, or cooked like spinach.

We still have a big amount of most crops. Don’t miss out on this season of abundance before the summer off-season.

Check out our “Make the Harvest Last” blog post for all of our ideas, tips, and tricks for stocking up and easily storing some of the harvest for the summertime.

See you at the market – just 5 Saturdays left!

Ellen and Cole

Surprise – dahlias are back for a final flush! Lots of them tomorrow and in the weeks to come.
