Howdy friends, set your alarms! Time to get back to the farmers market tomorrow (after one week closed for the Grand Prix).
After the coldest February we’ve experienced farming here, we’ve been basking in some warmth, a little bit of rain, and the buds of spring breaking all around us.
Lettuce, flowers, romanesco cauliflower, spring onions – just a few of the crops rolling in strong again after some scarcity through the coldest part of this year.

This is the best time of the year to eat locally – the leafy crops are fresh and tender, still sweetened from wintertime lows, and the root crops much the same.
Get back into your weekly routine of shopping the market – each week from here out will bring new springtime arrivals. Coming soon: wildflowers, three types of basil, cucumbers, squash, beans.
And remember – flowers make everything better.
We have some member specials rolling out again in the coming weeks with the abundance of springtime arriving. Members – check the bottom of the post for your special tomorrow.
Take care and see you around the market,
Ellen and Cole
